Evelyn Dunbar and her husband had a longstanding tradition of sending Christmas cards, designed and drawn by Evelyn. The last Christmas card sent by the couple took the form of a self portrait of Evelyn, staring out from underneath a huge rhubarb leaf – symbolic of protection and fidelity.
