'Germany Defeated' which formed one of the highlights of our annual war art show, Holding the Line, last year, has been acquired by the Tate.

Shown in public for the first time since it was painted on our stand at the 20/21 British Art Fair last September, this large, expressionist oil painting depicts the cataclysm that enveloped Berlin in the dying days of the Hitler regime in 1945.

Sir Nicholas Serota, the Director of the Tate, said: "We are extremely pleased to extend Feliks Topolski's representation in the Collection."
